R K Shipman Acquires Devon IFA Business
Leading specialist insurance and wealth management business RK Shipman has acquired Bovey Tracey based C&M Financial Services (C&MFS) for an undisclosed sum.
C&MFS is managed by Chris Marsham who has built the business over a 22 year period establishing a considerable client base across the South West and East Anglia.
He said: “I have a large and loyal client portfolio and I thought it time to consider succession to ensure continuity of service with quality assurance.
“Although I have received some interesting offers from a number of large firms, I was not satisfied that these would satisfy the criteria I had set out.
“However, having met Peter Ellis and his team from RK Shipman, I found a firm with a similar philosophy and business ethos that my clients expect and I was able to sell the business safe in the knowledge that my clients’ interests would not only be protected but enhanced.”
