Chris Marsham
Described by the influential New Model Adviser magazine as a “one man masterclass”, Chris Marsham is one of the most respected figures in the world of financial planning.
He established his own FSA regulated business, C&M Financial Services, in 1993 and developed a widespread and very loyal portfolio of clients building the funds he managed to £30millon.
Chris is particularly well known for his regular Saturday financial advice column in the Western Morning News which he has relentlessly written for 52 weeks of the year since 1995. The appeal of his insightful, questioning and often humorous style has led to many readers asking for his professional advice, sometimes years after reading his work.
Having been an acquisition target for a variety of large organizations for some time, Chris decided to sell his business to R K Shipman where he perceived the values of personal client relationships and quality assurance in wealth management and financial advice more closely resemble his own working philosophy and would guarantee his own clients continuity of service.
The deal was finalised early in 2009 with Chris becoming a consultant with R K Shipman.
Paul Cockram
Paul is responsible for overseeing specialist insurance arrangements at RK Shipman.
He has been working in this field since 1988 and is rightly regarded as an industry expert at designing arrangements to meet unusual risk.
